I’ve been a practicing therapist for 20 years and I am here to help you learn how to release the pain you’re in and move forward with your life.
I have been trained in a hands-on technique called the John F. Barnes’ Myofascial Release™ (JFBMFR) approach. This approach to body therapy focuses on the fascia, which is the material that holds all the muscles, nerves, ligaments, tendons, and bones in our bodies. (Picture a skinless chicken breast; the fascia is the clear sheath around the muscle.) After an accident, trauma, surgery, or repeated poor posture, the fascia can become constricted, contracted, or stretched in a way that does not allow the ligaments, tendons, muscles, nerves, blood vessels—and all other structures in the body—to heal fully and to move freely.
The history of your pain is written in your body’s fascia. Working together, we will find the best approach to accessing and then freeing you from that pain. I’m looking forward to having the opportunity to help you feel better and get better at feeling.
